Join us as we celebrate the organizations and programs supported by the Cape Ann Community Foundation and help us raise funds to continue our work.
Join us on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 5:30–8:00 PM at Cape Ann Lanes in Gloucester for the Cape Ann Community Foundation’s 3rd Annual Candlepins for a Cause—a fun, community-focused bowling event that raises funds to support local nonprofits throughout Cape Ann.
Enjoy classic candlepin bowling, a full menu of food, and a full bar while connecting with community members who care deeply about Essex, Gloucester, Ipswich, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Rockport. Whether you’re a seasoned bowler or just in it for the fun, this event welcomes all skill levels.
Why it matters:
Since 2015, the Cape Ann Community Foundation has awarded more than $130,000 in grants to underserved and underfunded nonprofits in Essex, Gloucester, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Rockport, funded largely by proceeds from Cape Ann License Plate sales and the generosity of our supporters. Proceeds from Candlepins for a Cause will directly support our 2027 grant cycle and help fund vital programs that strengthen the quality of life across Cape Ann.
Guests will also have the opportunity to meet past grant recipients and honor the organizations the Foundation has supported over the years.

- Individual Bowler: $50
- Bowler will be placed on team
