SUPPORTING A STRONGER CAPE ANN

The Cape Ann License Plate is a wonderful way to show your love and pride for Cape Ann. Proceeds from your purchase of the CALP supports the region through grants distributed to local organizations. These recipients qualify for these grants based on the mission of the Cape Ann Community Foundation to support:

  1. Promotion of the Cape Ann region,
  2. Economic Development
  3. Training & Education

“With the help of grant funding from the Cape Ann Community Foundation we were able to support programs that had previously been supported by in person fundraising events.”

Where Can I Get a Plate?

The plates can be ordered easily online through the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles or in person at your local MA RMV location. Anyone in the state of Massachusetts can get a CALP!

How Much?

In addition to your regular registration cost, the Cape Ann License Plate is just $40 every other year.

Everytime you see a CALP on the road, we are all reminded that together we ARE doing more for our community!

History of the Cape Ann License Plate [CALP]

The Cape Ann License Plate initiative was started by the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce in 2014. Our beautiful plate design was the result of a public competition won by local graphics artist, Annalei Babson. In 2015, the Cape Ann Community Foundation was formed to manage the proceeds. The foundation board works to find new and creative ways to meet our community’s needs based on our mission.
